The Philippou family has been in the restaurant business for nearly half a century when Charlie and Pat Philippou opened The Lone Star Drive-In in Ypsilanti Michigan in 1957. Charlie's, a local landmark in their community, opened in 1967 and is still a favorite among three generations of people today.The Philippous remember well the good ol' days of years gone by, and truly understand the value of a quality meal, served with a smile in a clean and comfortable setting.
